From breakfast to dinner, you will be excellently catered for at the Hotel Kloster Holzen. The kitchen philosophy at the Klostergasthof is characterised by a love and connection to nature. Our kitchen team attaches great importance to healthy, vital cuisine made from excellent ingredientes and of course we also take allergies and intolerances into consideration. Impressive rooms for weddings & events
The atmosphere in the Klostergasthof alone is breathtaking: a high, light-flooded room with white pillars supporting a remarkable cross vault. Time-honoured walls harmonise here with a simple, elegant ambience. In combination with our cosy beer garden, our monastery inn converys both down-to-earthness and romance. No wonder that the Gasthof Holzen is a popular venue for parties and weddings.

Open daily from:
11.30 am – 10.00 pm
Please note that from 01.12.2024 to 16.02.2025 our restaurant is only open for you on Sundays from 11:30 to 14:30.
Food on offer from 12.00 pm – 09.00 pm
Daily changing buffets or a fine selection from our à la carte menu or inn menu. On sunday evenings you can choose from our restaurant menu.
Please note: In the event of celebrations, opening hours may change and the menu may be reduced. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you book in advance by telephone.
In the summer months, the beer garden is open depending on the weather. We are happy to serve you a piece of cake or a delicious ice-cream sundae on our summer terrace.

Our kitchen philosophy
In the Klostergasthof kitchen we cook almost exclusively with seasonal, fresh and local products. Of course, our monastery kitchen also uses products from our own production, such as honey & fruit juices, jams and oils, fine liqueurs - processed with a lot of love. You are welcome to take our own products home with you after your stay at the Hotel Kloster Holzen. They are available in the Kloster Holzen shop.

Heavenly Breakfast
Hot & cold, savoury & sweet, regional and home-made: simply heavenly, this monastery breakfast! Let us spoil you with culinary delights in the morning in the modern Breakfast rooms of the Hotel Kloster Holzen.
Our rich breakfast buffet offers: a wide variety of fragrant bread, honey from our own beehives, fresh fruit juices from the monastery gardens, delicious jams and freshly baked cakes, many different types of sausages and cheese, egg dishes, bavarian veal sausages and much more.
We have labelled our breakfast buffet with the most important allergens using symbols so that food allergy sufferers can also enjoy a carefree meal with us. If you would like to have a gluten-free breakfast with us, please let us know your gluten allergy at the time of booking so that we can prepare a gluten-free breakfast.
We are also happy to welcome guests who are not staying with us. Perhaps you would like to combine your breakfast enjoyment at Holzen monastery with a hike or cycle tour, a walk in the monastery garden or a visit to the monastery church?
Breakfast price – all inclusive
Breakfast is included in the room rate for hotel guests.
For breakfast guests, the breakfast price per person is € 19.50 and includes fresh juices and unlimited speciality coffees. Children from 4 to 10 years have breakfast for € 8.50 (up to 3 years free of charge).
Please note: from 2025 the breakfast price per Person is € 24,50; for children from 4 to 10 years € 11,50.
Holzen Breakfast feast
We organise the "Holzener Frühstücksschmaus" at irregular intervals. Price per person € 25,50 / children from 4 to 10 years € 12,50 (up to 3 years free of charge). Please refer to our event overview for the dates.
Please note: from 2025 the breakfast price per Person is € 29,50; for children from 4 to 10 years € 14,50.

Afternoon
Many cyclists, hikers and walkers refresh themselves on summer days in the Klostergasthof with a glass of delicious beer or tasty ice cream and then like to take a seat in the beer garden under sheltering shade sails.
Enjoy "Uli von Bocksberg ice cream“ from the farm, a delicious ice cream made from real milk, cream & yoghurt and natural ingredients that has earned the "Tested Quality - Bavaria" seal.

Whether it's roast pork, a hearty snack or cod fillet in beer batter: in the Klostergasthof with its historic cross vaults, you can savour seasonal freshness and culinary art.
In summer, the beer garden is open to enjoy mild evenings outside. And we regularly organise gourmet events. Matching wines accompany the culinary delights.

Enjoy a good drink in a relaxed atmosphere at the end of the day: Welcome to the "von Treuberg" hotel bar.
